A.M. -5 degree according to the car!

G.C.Grebe, 1 on Clowbridge,

Cormorant, 1 on 'U'-Boat and 1 flying down the valley,

Canada Goose, 2 on Clowbridge & 8 on Clough Bottom,

Goosander, 2 males on Clowbridge,

Buzzard, 1 over Loveclough,

Sparrowhawk, female seen twice over Clough Bottom,

Kestrel, 1 at Clough Bottom,

Pheasant, male on Swallow Shore,

Moorhen, 1 on The Lagoon at Clowbridge,

Curlew, 3 possibly 4 pairs with 2 pairs feeding on Swallow Shore and calling birds from the surrounding moors,

Oysterctacher, pair flew over Compston's,

Lapwing, only a pair at Clowbridge,

L.B.B.Gull, c12 over,

Herring Gull, 1 over,

Stock Dove, 3 pairs and a single,

Skylark, c20, many in song,

Sand Martin, group of 3 up The Limy Valley and through north east at Clowbridge,

Meadow Pipit, c40,

Pied Wagtail, c20, good numbers at both res's,

Grey Wagtail, 1 at Clowbridge,

Stonechat, female on Swallow Shore,

Mistle Thrush, 2 singing bird plus a pair on pasture at Clowbridge,

L.T.Tit, 1 at Clough Bottom,

Coal Tit, c4 at Clowbridge & 2 at Clough Bottom,

Rook, c8 nests at Graver Weir with birds feeding on pasture on Swallow Shore,

Jay, 1 over Red Moss was an unusual sight,

Goldfinch, 4,

Greenfinch, 2,

Chaffinch, c8,

Lesser Redpoll, 1 over calling at Clowbridge,

Reed Bunting, 2 at Clowbridge.
