Lots about on this sunny morning with the following noted:

Sparrowhawk, male through pursued by a Swallow,

Kestrel, male hunting over the moors,

Curlew, 2 calling birds,

Skylark, 3 singing birds,

Swallow, 4,

Meadow Pipit, 1,

Grey Wagtail, 1,

Garden Warbler, 2 singing birds. The first was just after the last lamp post and before the 'Rossendale' sign in the hawthorns on the left as heading towards Burnley. Singing well and showing occasionally. The second bird was again in hawthorns near where the dog walkers park, also singing well but not as often.

Whitethroat, 2 singing birds,

Willow Warbler, c12 singing birds,

Nuthatch, calling bird whilst driving up Bridleway on way home,

Chaffinch, c12, many in song,

Greenfinch, 1 male,

Bullfinch, calling birds,

Linnet, 2,

Lesser Redpoll, single over singing several times,

Siskin, single over calling.
