Hi...

I'm new(ish) to the group and Rossendale also. I enjoy photographing wildlife including birds, I'm just going through some photos from earlier this year.

I'm struggling to identify this bird? Reed Bunting? But does not seem to very closely match online images. Linnet maybe? The photo was taken 1st May 2021 around Deep Clough above Jamestone Quarry.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I'm thinking it is in fact a Linnet.

But I shall bow to the greater wisdom of other group members!
