American Goldfinch

I am pretty sure I saw an American Goldfinch in my Reedsholme garden yesterday.(26/07/21)

It was a large, pale yellow finch with a black streak on the wing and a black forehead. I got a good look at it and am fairly certain about what I was looking at.

It wasn't a European Goldfinch or a Siskin. I can only assume it was a caged bird which had escaped. I just wondered if anyone else has ever seen this bird.

dont think theres been a British record, looking at pics could be an escapee or equally could be an escaped canary
