Hi Dave

I can add a couple of things

  • cormorant - 8 in the trees at Holden Wood
  • goldeneye - the female was at the top end of Calf Hey
  • lapwing - c30 at Ogden
  • pheasant - 1pr at Ogden
  • sparrowhawk - 1 soaring over the Scrubber
  • kestrel - 1 hovering over the Scrubber
  • great black backed gull - there was a bird on Calf Hey as well as the one on Ogden
  • house martin - c40 with c70 swallows when I got to Calf Hey. The house martins and most of the swallows were repeatedly feeding across the hillside then perching up in some of the hawthorns on the hillside. I can't recall ever seeing house martins in trees or bushes before.
  • pied wagtail - min 8 at top end of Ogden
  • stonechat - I had a family party of at least 5 at top end of Ogden, which I am guessing were additional to your sightings
  • chiffchaff - I had at least 4 at Holden Wood
  • bullfinch - 1 juv and at least 1 other calling bird at Holden Wood
  • reed bunting - 3 at Holden Wood

cheers Kevin
