buzzard - calling bird
kestrel - 1 very ragged looking bird, missing several tail feathers & primaries
black-headed gull - 2
woodpigeon - min 40
pied wagtail - 2
grey wagtail - 1
meadow pipit - 1
swallow - 6
house martin - 6
stonechat - female & juvenile
raven - 2
carrion crow - 2
jackdaw - 22
magpie - 4
goldfinch - 6
linnet - 19
reed bunting - calling bird
other bits seen today
great crested grebe - 1 at Cowm
cormorant - 2 at Cowm
Canada goose - 62, mostly in fields off quarry road at Cowm
sparrowhawk - 2 at Lee Quarry & 1 over Tonnacliffe
snipe - 1 near Whitworth Quarry
swift - 18 over Whitworth Quarry & 1 over Lee Quarry
green woodpecker - 1 yaffling in Lee Clough
wheatear - family of at least 4 at Whitworth Quarry
