Sunshine, calm 9 degrees. Morning 0930/1200 Afternoon 1400/1630 hrs.

Species of note.

Siskin, 3 at feeding station.

Dipper, A pair in Strongstry displaying and calling. Singles at Alderbottom and Irwel vale.

Grey Wagtail, 3 singles feeding along the river bank.

Goosander, 2 males and 3 females at Alderbottom, single female at Lodge farm lodge, first record for here.

Moorhen, pair on river, pair on small lodge in Lumb, pair on lodge at Lodge farm.

Greenfinch, unusually high numbers for my patch, 2 in Stubbins, 6 at East view lodge.

Common Redpoll, again unusual for me 3 at East view, there were 6 yesterday.

Bullfinch, good number of pairs in several places.

Goldfinch, several small groups.

Chaffinch, good numbers all round.

Long-tailed Tit, several good flocks.

Jay, group of four at hodge Clough.

Grey Heron, 3 occupied nests at Lodge farm, one at Irwell vale.

Coot, building nest at Lodge farm lodge.

Buzzard, two pair displaying at East view and Hodge clough

Sparrowhawk, male hunting East view.

Goldcrest, single East view.

Great Spotted Woodpecker, one drumming in Strongstry.

Nuthatch, usual good numbers all round.

Song Thrush, several singles some in full song.

Mistle Thrush, pair feeding in sheep fields.
