Lapwing. 17 in by-fields along Holcombe road

Rook. 15 as above.

Curlew. Single as above.

Buzzard. Single soaring.

Mistle Thrush. Pair nest building Hodge Clough.

Lodge Farm. Only two occupied Grey Heron nests.

On the lodge.

Pair Moorhen.

Pair Coot.

Pair Little Grebe.

Neither of the above two were seen this winter so assume just moved back.

Mallard. Seven only one female.

Canada Goose, 12.

Great Spotted Woodpecker, drumming.

Treecreeper. First seen for a while in Hodge Clough.

Nuthatch. Several very active and calling.

Good numbers of Blackbird, Tits, Robin, Wren, Dunnock.

Chaffinch. Several in song.

Greenfinch. Six in Irwell vale.

Goldfinch. Small charm Hodge Clough.

Jay. Two in Strongstry.

Jackdaw. 50/70 over.
