  • lesser black-backed gull - 4 over
  • kestrel - 1 female
  • little owl - 1 in east end
  • skylark - c20
  • stock dove - 6 in Lee Quarry
  • meadow pipit - c40
  • pied wagtail - 6
  • wheatear - 5, including 2 females in Lee Quarry & 3 males at Whitworth Quarry
  • mistle thrush - singing bird near Lee Quarry
  • chiffchaff - singing bird at Futures Park
  • starling - c100 towards Brandwood Moor, c140 at Britannia yesterday
  • carrion crow - c100 towards Brandwood Moor & c30 over Brown Wardle
  • linnet - 6 in Whitworth Quarry
  • bullfinch - 1 along the track to Lee Quarry
  • reed bunting - male in Whitworth Quarry

kingfisher seen on Thursday and Saturday off Baltic Bridge in Waterfoot
