Bacup to Deerplay
highlight was c430 golden plovers flying over from north side of Deerplay towards the moors above Clough Bottom Res. Some time later a smaller flock of c60 birds was seen landing near Bank End/ Smallshaw Height, probably part of the original flock
buzzard - 3 birds between Weir & Deerplay
kestrel - 1 over Irwell Springs
great spotted woodpecker - 1 over Bacup
grey wagtail 2 near Broadclough
collared dove - 1pr at Weir
blackbird - juvenile bird near Northern School
blackcap - singing birds at Market street & Broadclough
chiffchaff - singing bird at Market St Bacup
dipper - 1 near the old Irwell pub
starling - pr nesting in tree hole opposite Northern School
raven - 1 over Broadclough
