I checked the following rookeries today

Rook Hill - 34 nests, some birds sitting, but some nests were still in various states of construction, including 2 that had only just started to be built

Bacup - couldn't find any nests around town centre or up Todmorden Road as far as Beech Industrial Estate

Broadclough - 10 nests, all in same tree

Northern School - no nests

Weir - 2 nests in tree at rear of Anna's Bistro

Water - 29 nests

Peer's Clough - 7 nests

Peter checked Healey Dell and found no nests there

Limy valley Rook counts 14/4/24

Kevin here's some more, all we need now are the counts from the Haslingden boys.

St Johns Crawshawbooth - 34 nests

Goodshawfold - 4 nests, a new site but probably a break off from the Badgercote rookery.

Badgercote/Hamer Ave - 4 nests + 2 unattended nests.

I checked Acre & The Farmers Glory today

Acre - 18 nests

Farmers Glory - 18 nests

this gives a total of 160 nests, continuing the downward trend
