A green sandpiper was present this morning in Whitworth Quarry. Fairly quiet other than this with the following also noted

• Canada goose - 14 in Whitworth Quarry
• kestrel - 1 in Lee Quarry
• green woodpecker - juvenile calling in Lee Clough
• swift - 2 over Whitworth Quarry
• house martin - min 32 feeding over Cowm & Whitworth Quarry
• wheatear - 1 in each quarry
• linnet - c18 in Whitworth Quarry
