A few bits from an afternoon stroll

• swallow - 2
• house martin - thought I could hear birds calling from a nest on the con club this morning. at least 8 birds flying around this evening
• stock dove - 2 at Warth
• goldcrest - singing bird at Warth
• redwing - 2 at Warth
• dipper - 2 at Sandybank, 1 of which had to dive in the water to avid a sparrowhawk. First time I've ever seen a sparrowhawk try to to take a dipper
• raven - 1 tumbling over the village
• goldfinch - charm of 8 at Hugh Mill
• bullfinch - 1 at Gaghills
