4 Buzzard in the air this morning outside my house. Prompted me to don my boots.

Constant sightings all afternoon as far as Cribden Clough.

Display seen from one bird and much calling from what I presume are young birds.

3 kestrels hunting over the hillside as far as Cribden all afternoon.

1 pair of Raven calling and crucifixing over Cribden Clough area were seen with another pair over Reedsholme later.

1 Sparrowhawk at Cribden Clough flew through low, flushing only 2 wood pigeons.

1 Cormorant flew down the valley then turned west presumably towards Grane.

1 Grey Heron flew into the river at Reedsholme.

1 Dipper at Leabrook.

Small birds almost absent no finches, starlings, redwings or fieldfares as yet.
