Afternoon stroll as far as Oakenhead Wood Old rd.

Good day for sitting and watching the skies.

Lots of raptor activety with up to 3 Buzzards over the area most of the afternoon. One bird (probably a juvenile) very vocal. Typical for the time of year

4 Kestrels of which 3 were adult males.

1f Sparrowhawk over Cribden Clough, then another or same mobbing 2 Ravens near the ski slope.

Initially 2 Ravens on the transmitter mast, with others in the distance over the west side of the valley. Then a gathering of 11 birds on the summit of Cribden.

4 Swallows moving down the valley.

2 Jays in a hedge.

Unsurprisingly no small birds seen.
