2 teams participated in the summer bird race this year; team A - Dave & Sarfraz (72 species) & team B Paul & Kevin (68 species)

Full list of species seen shown below. Highlights included a red kite (a first for a bird race in Rossendale)over Whitworth Quarry, golden plover, dunlin, sedge warbler & garden warbler
