Thursday October 26th 2006 - Haslingden Laund
0730hrs-1000hrs
Wind: SW 15-20 mph with gust
Movement: South unless stated otherwise.

Atrocious weather, yet Redwing where going through come what may, yet how
the mighty have fallen, yesterday only specks in the sky, and today they
where reduced to almost touching the ground and you where only lucky enough
to see them as they skipped the walls!! Besides strong winds there where
heavy showers, some terential downpours - yet the Redwings kept going
through all this.

Meadow Pipit: 2
Redwing: 116  (S or SE) (9 parties, best party 30)
Blackbird: 3
Greenfinch: 1
Skylark: 1 (0945hrs)

from home (below Haslingden Laund) - back garden 1045hrs - 1200hrs
Wind: SW 15-20 mph with gust and rain showers.

Redwing where going through fairly regular (eg: one party every 5/7 mins
approx, all going S or SE)

Redwing: 481 (12 parties, best party 80, most parties 30-50)
Lapwing: 30 (one party)
Greenfinch: 2
Goldfinch: 5 (one party)

1320hrs - Obviously birds are going through today, so I will try and do a
random check every hour or so, though the winds have now changed from SW to
W and since this change the birds seem to have stopped going through.

Cheers,
Bryan.
