Tuesday November 7th 2006 - Haslingden Grane (Stoney Rake)
0700hrs -1000hrs
Wind: 1-3mph variable
Movement: West unless stated otherwise.
 
The early Fieldfare which I had this morning where all going back East along the valley.  Whether they actually went out East or they had come back down the valley to feed on the many hawthorns, I dont know. Things now definately quietning down around here, and this will be my last regular vismig report this year.
 
Fieldfare: 259 (all East)
Redwing: 5
Starling: 83
Chaffinch: 35
Brambling: 9
Siskin: 3
Goldfinch: 11
Redpoll: 2
Woodpigeon: 70 (6 East)
Greenfinch: 3
Mistle Thrush: 1
Meadow Pipit: 11
Jackdaw: 10 (2 East)
Pied Wagtail: 1
LBBG: 1

Mallard: 4 (North)

Thanks for all your vismig emails and posts, Bryan, they are very interesting to all of us.


Make sure you post any other records you might have between now and next spring's vismig.

Thanks Jim for your great comments and its always a great pleasure putting them on the Rossendale site, and yes I will obviously look forward to putting them on again next year.  In the meantime hopefully I will be putting on some of my Winter general sightings in due course.  Yes I have got the 20th bookmarked and look forward to coming to the Club once again.
