Gaghills 08:30. The following were at our feeders 26 goldfinch, 1 pr bullfinch, 15 chaffinch, 3 brambling, 40 greenfinch, 1 coal tit, 1 long tailed tit, 6 blue tit, 2 great tit, 8 collared dove, 2 blackbird, 1 robin, 9 starling, 1 jay and 6 house sparrow. A song thrush was singing briefly yesterday morning.
Cowpe Res area 10:40. 1f goldeneye, 1 common snipe, 5 common gull, 75 black headed gull, 1 peregrine, 200 starling, 80 jackdaw, 1 grey wagtail and 1 meadow pipit.
Plunge 13:10. 1 kestrel, 23 fieldfare, 6 redwing, 20 long tailed tit and 2 goldcrest.
Ewood Bridge Sewage Works 14:30. 1 lesser black backed gull over, 40 black headed gull, 200 jackdaw and 25 pied wagtail.
Holmes Terrace Lodge 15:15. 1 grey heron, 62 mallard, 1 moorhen, 1 great spotted woodpecker, 100 starling moving over in small groups towards Road End presumably to roost.
