Anyone know what kind we tend to get in Rossendale?  Roe or possibly Sika?

We would usually see Roe  but I've heard there are three deer species in East Lancashire and so other species are possible.

I only saw the back ends of the deer as they disappeared into the trees, but I would guess they were sika deer.

The deer were probably Roe as they are common in the Valley and usually gather in small groups, sometimes Sika and Fallow deer pass through but I do not know of any residents. I have also been told that there are Muntjac deer in Deeply Vale although I have not been lucky enough to see any.
