Gaghills 08:30 to 10:30

great spotted woodpecker 1m, greenfinch 40, goldfinch 21, chaffinch 20, bullfinch 3f 2m.  A dunnock was singing yesterday.

Lench

1 grey heron, 1 sparrowhawk, 8 redwing, 10 fieldfare, 7 blackbird, 1 mistle thrush.

Cowpe Res and surrounding area

1 cormorant, c70 black headed gull, 10 common gull, 60 jackdaw, 9 magpie, 1 flock mixed fieldfare (min 30) and starling (min 50), 1m reed bunting on the hillside above the res.

Brandwood Lower End Moor

40 carrion crow, 300 starling

Rooley Moor

1 common snipe, 100 starling 

Spring Mill Res

1 grey heron, 6m & 3 redhead goosander, 10 black headed gull, 1 lesser black backed gull, 1 kestrel.

Cowm Res

29 canada geese, c60 mallard, 3m & 2f tufted duck, c70 black headed gull, 5 common gull, 1 moorhen, c60 carrion crow, 40 wood pigeon, 1m bullfinch.

A blackbird was singing at Whitworth High School.  1 was singing in Waterfoot 21st & 22nd Dec.
