birds at our feeders at Gaghills today have included:


1m,1f great spotted woodpecker,22 goldfinch, 15 chaffinch, 1 brambling, 15 greenfinch, 2m, 1f bullfinch, 8 collared dove (at least 17 have been roosting in the area).  1 cormorant flew over towards Rawtenstall.


Staghills Woods


2 great spotted woodpecker, 2 jay, 1song thrush singing, 4 mistle thrush, including 1 singing, 8 long tailed tit, 1 grey wagtail, 3m bullfinch, plenty of blue and great tits.


Warth


1 grey heron, 1 grey wagtail, 1 mixed flock of c120 fieldfare, c50 redwingand c25 starling,12 goldfinch.


Lower Cloughfold


1pr bullfinch


Bocholt Way to Rawtenstall


1 grey heron, 56 mallard, 2 dipper, 2 mistle thrush, 30jackdaw, 8 lesser black back gull, 1 herring gull


Holmes Terrace Lodge


5 grey heron, 80 mallard, 4 moorhen, 1redhead goosander, 5 black headed gull, 1 great spotted woodpecker, 20 wood pigeon, 1 bullfinch calling


Holme Lane to Townsendfold Bridge


1 peregrine, 1redhead goosander, 1 kingfisher, 1 dipper, 12 long tailed tit, c40 redwing, 1 song thrush.


Ewood Bridge and Irwell Vale


1 grey heron, 8 mallard, 1 kingfisher, 3 dipper, 6 long tailed tit, c20 siskin, min 40 fieldfare,min 30 redwing


EBSW


8 herring gull (6 over 2 with the black headed gulls), 10 common gull (8 over 2 with the black headed gulls) 15 lesser black back gull over, 100+ black headed gull, min 250 jackdaw, 20 carrion crow, 40 starling, 20+ pied wagtail, 6 long tailed tit
