Nearly forgot - had a Stonechat male on the walls near Laund Hey yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) at approx 1345hrs. I had seen a pair several times during the vismig counts which seemed to be hanging about, and it maybe possible that they are now over wintering there also!
I noticed on the vismig counts (yesterday) that Mavis at Darwen had a early returning (east) Skylark yesterday - very early.
