a sighting i have not yet submitted and one i totally forgot about. i saw 2 white-ish pheasants in the forest of bowland roosting in a tree on 28 jan sunday 2007. i am not sure if they were both albino ring necks or silver pheasants even. they were both in the same tree and i did get quite close to them....

owl monday 5 feb - 8.20pm

i saw an owl at 8.20pm on the border of rossendale and hyndburn as i was driving up grane road from blackburn side. it was just on the hyndburn side - not sure which type of owl exactly could have been - i guess it was a bit light for a tawny owl though.

Yesterday 29th Jan 2006 - Circular Walk between Laund and Sherfin, noticed Meadow Pipits starting to gather at Laund (perhaps 10-12 in number), this seems rather early (maybe 2 weeks earlier than the norm). Also a party of 15 Fieldfare flew over Sherfin from SE to NW. Bryan.
