Late Afternoon. Grey Lag Goose, 1 over heading west, Buzzard, 1 in to trees at dusk, Sparrowhawk, only alerted to it by the uproar from c20 Jackdaws and half a dozen crows as a female pinned a Magpie down. several crows had a go at the Sparrowhawk and after c5 minutes the Magpie managed to struggle free.....

immature male Sparrowhawk nabbed a starling in my garden at Deerplay and due to the weight ended up in the pond. flew away safely but the starling didnt survive the experience. got a good picture but cant see how to attach it will put it on E Lancs
