The Atlas commenced its first season of field work on 1st November. I should be delighted if members of the Rossendale Ornithologsts' Club were to take part.
The survey is based on tetrads (i.e. 2km squares) and is being run in parallel with an atlas of all Lancashire and North Merseyside Birds organised by the Lancashire and Cheshire Fauna Society.
Any queries you might have about the atlas should be answered by visiting www.bto.org/birdatlas and clicking on About Bird Atlas and on Taking Part.
