We have got a bird stuck in one of our trees in the garden, I have searched the internet but could only find the rspca number as a possibility of who could help, does anyone know of any other numbers to call in case this happens again. I did go up the ladders with several poles tied together to try to free the bird or break the branch, but was just not tall enough to reach. I feel soo sorry for it dangling helpless from the tree. Any suggestions for future reference are appreciated.
The local fire brigade once helped me rescue a cat and thre kittens which were under a bridge on the river Irwell, so they might help. The RSPCA did come to my workplace once to move a geese that had somehow ended up there.
I rang the rspca and they arrived within an hour and got the bird free and he fly away happily, much to mine and my boys delight, my eldest who is four was crying because he didnt want the bird to die in the tree!!! So a good positive outcome.
