Hi guys,

our house sale / purchase went through yesterday and Ive moved out of Rossendale to live in St. Annes after 62 years in The Valley.

It has been good to know you all and spend many happy hours birding in Rossendale.

I do intend to visit some of our sites in the future, but now as an occasional visitor rather than a resident, so maybe see you around!

Rossendales loss, the Fyldes gain!!

Hi David,
Good luck in your new home and new area and I hope you enjoy it there. I credit you with telling me about chipping Snipe, Bullfinch calls, wheezing Greenfinches and probably other species on the earlier years of the bird race but they come to mind immediately. You have some wonderful records for Rossendale which many of us saw including the first Great Egret for Rossendale, Black Necked Grebe and the first in the field observation and second record ever of Reed Warbler. You have put a lot of time and effort in not just birding in the field but producing the Bird Report along with others. It is a big loss for Rossendale and a big gain for the Fylde. I do hope you find some very rare birds there and no doubt you will as you do put the time and effort in.
