Just testing an idea. Ina Smith sent me this photo of a Little Egret taken at Leighton Moss last weekend and I thought I'd see whether it could be viewed Ok from my Flickr account.
How do I know how far away it was.....I'm a woman, we don't know the size of anything. There's a joke in there somewhere, but I don't want to offend anyone.
It was taken through my 'scope with a Nikon 4500, and a lot of luck. If it helps it was from the right side of Eric Morcame Hide and the bird was on the first Island.
I have just changed my 4500 for a much slinkier number and so far I am getting similar results but without all the drawbacks of the 4500, although I do miss the ability to swivel the screen round to wherever I want it.
Which bracket, if any, are you using to attach the camera to the scope?
Like I say good picture

I have a Swarovski 'scope and am using the collar type Swarovski, it says DCA ZOOM on the box. It cost nearly as much as the camera, this digi-scoping isn't as cheap as it's made out to be is it?
I have a smaller Finepix I carry with me most of the time and if I could find a way of attaching that to the scope I would be more than happy. The external zoom is the problem. The good views allways turn up when you don't have the right equipment!!
I've just spent the week in East Anglia and haven't got one good picture. Too much wind.
Thanks for the kind remarks about my photography Ste, but I'm not that good. Most of it is luck.
I am familiar with that bracket although i do like the look of the DCB or the Zeiss adaptor but as you say the price!
I don't know if you have checked my website out but I have added an update for the diary and this includes my new universal bracket that I have bought and then had modified. I have also a small section on the techical pages about the cameras and a little bit on the bracket before I had it modified.See what you think and considering the bracket without the modification only cost £30.
I really do need a new scope as my 60mm version just does not give the light required.
