Swallow - 2 flying fast, North over C/booth at 7pm today. 1st of year for me. Chiffchaff - 2 males singing in Folly area - AM. Buzzard - Single to south 10am. Golden Plover - 2 alarm calling on moor, Greenfold. Redwing - 26 in bushes, Hardmans area. Craig.

Top of Leach

Dotterel (female judging by bright colouration) seen and heard in flight early this morning near Top of Leach. It flew quite low south over the brow of a hill below Top of Leach and was lost to view - may have landed.

Musbury and Alden Ratchers
(Preview)
Not much doing on the tops, just a pair of curlew and a solitary skylark. There were plenty of corvids and men planting trees but not a trace of anything red. Lower down on the meadow land there was a flock of 100 starling, 20 fieldfare and small parties of finches including goldfinch and linnet.
