Ospreys over Ogden
(Preview)
At 1.55pm today there were three raptors over Ogden calling and flying very high, so high I am unsure what they were but my impression was that they were Ospreys. Did anyone else see these birds who could perhaps have a more certain identification.

i noticed a flock of about 30 possibly more smaller birds flying around Grane - they appeared smallish finches flying close together. looked fairly lightish in colour - not dark. could have been goldfinch, linnet or one of those migrant buntings/finches ..... they were to the side of the highes...

Sat 4th - Strange day with several species of bird of prey being seen including a Buzzard being mobbed by Rooks flying over Stacksteads toward rake head.

Just seen a pair of nuthatches in the garden, first sighting since lived here!! (2 1/2 years). There was also a pair of great spotted woodpeckers on a fat block feeder on Saturday, normally only see one. Helmshore, Old railway line, Gregory Fold area.
