there was tree creeper in my garden on 18/2 not seen one for a while and the redpolls are back, about 10 ++ on a daily basis. yesterday a sparrow hawk flew through my garden aiming for a feeder full of goldfinches, luckily for them they evacuated it just in time!! Helmshore, old railway line area.

A report from Arthur Jones at Clowbridge of c40 dead gulls yesterday morning. Most were Common Gull with a few Black Heads. A.J. reported this to the authorities who in turn presumably informed Defra. A Defra representative was later seen collecting the gulls to take away for analysis. Bob.
