Three pairs of Goosander displaying to each other this morning,also between Stubbins road bridge and Irwell vale i counted seven Dipper[could have same bird twice] several of which were singing and displaying one was carrying a large stonefly larva offering it to any interested female.

there was tree creeper in my garden on 18/2 not seen one for a while and the redpolls are back, about 10 ++ on a daily basis. yesterday a sparrow hawk flew through my garden aiming for a feeder full of goldfinches, luckily for them they evacuated it just in time!! Helmshore, old railway line area.
