I have spent a few evenings at dusk this week at Stubbins vale where i flushed the Woodcock and have been rewarded twice by seeing them rodding, on Thusday there was one and tonight there were two, i could only see one but could here another further away. The Tawny owls were also very vocal.

This evening down in Lumb vale around dusk my dog and i flushed a Woodcock then 200 yds further down the path we flushed another two. As far as i am concerned that is the first time i have recorded them in the old nature reserve.
