Sat 4th - Strange day with several species of bird of prey being seen including a Buzzard being mobbed by Rooks flying over Stacksteads toward rake head.
Mon 6th- Several times during the day 100+ House martins feeding up over Fielden factors in Waterfoot.

Just seen a pair of nuthatches in the garden, first sighting since lived here!! (2 1/2 years). There was also a pair of great spotted woodpeckers on a fat block feeder on Saturday, normally only see one. Helmshore, Old railway line, Gregory Fold area.
