The Lancs Bird Report 2011 does not mention the 2 Little Egrets which stayed for around a week at Grane at the end of June 2011. Although it does mention 2 at Gawthorpe on 27th June - could the same birds have moved onto Grane?

Hi - I know its not in Rossendale but how do you get to it? Ian and Bob mentioned a road last Monday that is a left turn as you drive from Rawtenstall to Burnley. What is the name location of the road? To see the Whinchats how far would I have to walk form the car park? Thanks in advance Sarfraz

With this weather and temperatures, southern winds and 18 degrees recorded yesterday, here are some strange things seen this week: Feeding stations have been empty, I had stocked up as usual, last year I had used 40% more food. No Thrushes, Finches or Brambling. Mallards have been mating. B...
