Bramblings
(Preview)
I have never seen a Brambling and I hoped to break that curse this winter. It has been a bad winter migrant year for me. I have not seen or heard any skeins of Pink Feet go over and seen less than usual numbers of Fieldfares and Redwings. Winter of 2009 was good as I saw my first ever Waxwings - a flock of...

Fat Ball Nets
(Preview)
Hi All A couple of days ago I picked up a couple of small green nets from a local field. Today I found a dead robin caught up in one. I know I'm probably preaching to the converted here, but please anyone who happens to read this if you feed the birds fatballs, take them out of the net first.

Hi
Sad news as a development is proposed on the island of Mallorca right next to the S'Albufera park. Sadly another golf course is to be built. This is really sad not just for birds but amazingly a very rare Orchid grows here yet it is still down for/going to be destroyed.
I have made it easy to sign if yo...
